Privacy Policy

Archive of Legends is a TropicDevWorx product, provided by Tropic Endeavors, LLC of Vero Beach, Florida. This policy covers this website. It does not cover our eBay store, which runs under eBay’s own privacy policy.

When you submit to the buy list, we store what you give us:

• Your name and email address
• A phone number, if you choose to give one
• The country you are sending from
• Your PayPal address, so we can pay you
• The counts you declare, the game, and anything you write in the description
• Photos of your cards, if you upload any
• The carrier and tracking number once you tell us the box is on its way

We do not ask for and never store a postal address, a card number, a bank account or a password. Payment happens inside PayPal; we never see your PayPal login or your balance.

Your name, your email address, the topic you picked, a submission reference if you gave one, and what you wrote. That is all of it.

The message is stored as well as emailed to us, so that a delivery failure cannot quietly lose a message you believe you sent. We use your address to reply and for nothing else: there is no mailing list to be added to and we do not send marketing.

We keep contact messages for two years, then delete them.

Our host records ordinary server logs — the page requested, the time, a rough location from the network address, and the browser string. These are operational records, not a profile, and we do not try to connect them to a person.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It sets a cookie in your browser and tells Google that a visit happened, which page, roughly where from, and on what kind of device.

You choose whether advertising measurement is switched on. The banner on your first visit asks. Accept and Google may use the visit to build advertising audiences, which is what would let us advertise to people who have been here before. Reject and that is switched off, along with the visit counting.

Your answer is remembered in your own browser. To change it, clear this site’s data and the banner will ask again. There is no Facebook, TikTok or other third-party tracker on this site, and we have never run one.

Most browsers let you block or clear these cookies, and ad-blocking extensions stop it entirely. Nothing on this site stops working if you do — the rates, the calculator and your submission page all behave the same either way.

Links from this site to eBay carry an eBay Partner Network tag, which tells eBay the visit came from us and may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Every such link is labeled on the page before you click it.

What happens after you arrive on eBay is between you and eBay, under their privacy policy. We receive only aggregate reporting from them — how many clicks and how much commission — never who you are or what you looked at.

A short list, and it is the whole list. Each of these does one job for us and nothing with your data on their own account:

• Vercel — hosts the site and runs the code
• Neon — the Postgres database the submissions sit in
• SendGrid — sends and receives the email about your submission
• Amazon Web Services — stores any photos you upload
• PayPal — pays you, using the address you gave us
• Google Analytics — counts visits, and measures advertising if you accepted the banner. It never receives your name, your email or anything you type into a form.

We do not sell your information. We do not share anything you typed into a form — your name, email, PayPal address or card counts — for advertising, ever. What can be used for advertising is the anonymous record of the visit itself, and only if you accepted the banner. We would hand information over if a court ordered us to, and we would tell you unless we were forbidden from doing so.

Every email we send about your submission is also saved against it, and so is every reply you send back. That is deliberate: it means the history of what was agreed survives, and neither of us is relying on a memory of a message.

The link we email you shows your submission without a password. It carries a long random token, so it is not guessable, but anyone you forward that link to can see the submission. Treat it the way you would treat a package tracking link.

Submission records are kept for seven years, because they are purchase records and a business has to be able to show what it bought and what it paid.

Photos you upload are deleted 12 months after a submission closes. Email threads are kept with the submission they belong to.

Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page and we will answer within 30 days.

We may have to keep the record of a completed purchase even after a deletion request, for the seven years above. If that applies we will say so rather than quietly do it, and we will delete everything that is not a purchase record.

If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, plus the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information. Accepting the cookie banner allows advertising measurement, which California law may treat as “sharing” — rejecting it, or clearing this site’s data and rejecting when asked again, is how you opt out.

This site is not for anybody under 18 and we do not knowingly collect anything from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

The date at the top is when this policy last changed. If we ever change it in a way that materially affects a submission already with us, we will email the address on that submission rather than rely on you noticing a date.
